Hint: Hunter's Ultima Weapon
During the mission "over the hill" when you fight against Ritz and her clan, use a thief with the steal weapon ability to steal Shara's weapon, called SeventhHeaven. Equip it to a Hunter and it will learn Ultima Shot

Hint: Getting Ribbons
Put 4 different towns around in a circle, so that they will surround a blank space in the middle. Then, put a Jagd in the middle. The treasure hunt at the Jagd will result in a Ribbon. (Ribbons can only be worn by Viera. They nullify ALL status ailments, including Doom.)

Hint: Extra Experience
If you ever run into a gel-type creature called a flan and need a little exp, here is a tip. First kill off every other enemy on the field, and then surround the flan with your people. Use regular attacks on it, which will only do 1 damage, and if the enemy is of sufficient level, you'll gain a few levels while slowly killing it.

Cheat: Copy Items
Here is a way to copy items/characters. All you need are 2 Final Fatasy Tactics Adavance cartridges, 2 GBA/SP units, and 1 connecting cable.

First, make sure that both of the games have at least 5000 gill so you may make trades with them.

Next, save Final Fantasy Tactics Advance data on both save slots on the cartridges.

Then, trade the item/character you want duplicated from the second save slot of the first cartridge to the second GBA/SP.

Finally, trade the copied item/character from the second cartridge to the first save slot of the first cartridge. Now that slot will have two copies of the item/character.

Hint: More Effective Treasure Hunts
The most effective Treasure Hunts are performed like this:
  • Best: Two of the same type of symbols (e.g. two forests) at the top of the circle and two of the same type of symbols (e.g. two mountains) placed on the bottom part of the circle on the world map, with another symbol in the middle (as the final symbol placed).
  • 2nd Best: Four symbols in a circle with another placed in the middle (as the final symbol placed).
  • 3rd best: Three symbols in a circle with another placed in the middle (as the final symbol placed)

      Unlockable: Semi-Secret Characters
Semi-secret characters become available by completing a mission with different mission items. The secret characters might join your after the battle.
      • Cheney: Complete a mission with Snake Shield as a mission item.
      • Eldena: Complete a mission with Elda's Cup as a mission item.
      • Lini: Complete a mission with The Hero Gaol as a mission items.
      • Littlevili: Complete the "Clan League" mission.
      • Pallanza: Complete a mission with Wyrmstone as a mission item.

        Hint: Become Harder to Kill
If you want to become harder to kill, master Damage>MP, change to a job that doesn't need MP, and master Double Sword (humans only).

Hint: Get Lots of Experience Points Early On
During Mission One, send all of your party members except Marche to the right to defeat the short enemies. Send Marche forward so he is in front of the sprite (the fairy-like creature). The sprite will do about 5 damage to Marche every turn. Marche can heal himself 7 points each turn, and he gets 10 EXP each time he does it. Keep having Marche heal himself over and over, and this way you can get him to a high level very early in the game. You can also have your other characters attack Marche, and they will gain a lot of EXP because Marche is at a much higher level than they are.

        Hint: Quick Reset
To reset while in the game, press A+B+START+SELECT.

        Hint: Blue Mage/Beastmaster
Have you ever had trouble with getting your Blue Mages to learn healing monster abilities, or any ability at all? Nu Mou starts out with a job called Beastmaster, which allows the user to control certain creatures. This way, you can have the chosen monster use the ability on your Blue Mage. This only works with some abilities and make sure that when you want to learn the abilities, you have the Blue Mage Support ability “learning” taught by the weapon Blue Saber equipped; otherwise you'll just get hurt. When trying to learn the ability “Roulette” taught by Floateyes and Ahrimans, have the Angel Ring or some other form of Auto-Life on; the only way to get Blue Mage abilities is by staying awake and alive!

        Unlockable: Secret Characters
Beat the game once and fulfill the following conditions, and the secret characters will offer to join you if you have space:
        • Shara - Clear "A Maiden's Cry" and enter a town.
        • Ritz - Clear "Mortal Snow".
        • Ezel - Choose "Gossip" at his shop, and then clear "Reconciliation".
        • Babus - Clear "Left Behind" and enter a town to enter "With Babus" mission. Clear it to get Babus.
        • Cid - Clear all 300 numbered missions. (Top secret missions do not count.)

        Unlockable: Expert Missions
To unlock Expert Missions, beat the game once and save. When you start again, you will have a star next to your name.

        Hint: Experience Mania

Healing abilities can be used when characters already have full health. If a unit uses a Potion on itself it gains 10 experience points. Stock up on Potions and then enter a battle. Kill all enemies except for a weak unit (like a White Mage) and then drink Potions until the desired level is reached. This leveling strategy also works with any non-offensive abilities such as "Defense", "Protect", "Shell", "Conceal", "Cure" and "First Aid".

        Hint: Leveling Up Moogles

If you're interested in getting two high level Moogles early in the game (or any time), make two of them become Jugglers of equal levels. Also, make sure they both know the move "Smile" before going into battle with them. When it comes to their turns in battle, use Smile on the other Moogle Juggler, giving it the next turn. Then, go back and forth over and over again with this, as each turn it will net them 10 experience points. Enemies will never get a turn until you decide not to use Smile. This proves to be a great way to level up.

        Hint: Thief Experience

Here's a really easy way to get experience. Make the character you want to level up a Thief, and make sure he or she learns the skill Steel EXP as soon as you can. Couple your Thief in battle with a character who knows Slow or Stop. Allow an enemy to engage you and attack you, and then have the other character cast Slow or (preferably) Stop on the character. Then, steal experience!

        Hint: Quick Thief Experience

Have whichever character you want to level-up change into the Thief class. Also, make sure they have the skill "Steal Exp." Thereafter, go into battle (preferably a clan battle) and leave one single enemy left on the battlefield. Stand by the enemy, letting him hit you, while the rest of your team passes their turns. As the enemy hits you, that enemy will gain experience. Let them gather some experience, then use your skill to steal it. You'll gain a random amount each time, but the higher the level of the enemy, the more you should get.

        Hint: Recruit Quin
To get Quin to join your clan, complete the "Missing Professor" mission. After the battle, Quin may ask to join your clan. Be sure you have room in your clan for Quin or you will miss the opportunity.

Hint - Magic Point No-Damage Combo
You can buy a certain armor at the shops, which allows you to teach either a gadgeteer, a morpher or a ninja the reactive ability MP damage.

This lets that character to convert all damage done to it into MP damage. The only problem is when the MP is zero, the effects of this ability wear off, and damage starts decreasing HP.

However, there is an item called "Magic Ring" (you must have at least one of those, since you start the game with it) that can aid this armor.

This ring allows the chatacter who wears it to gain 5 MP every time the wearer comes up in a turn of battle. Thus your magic armor wearer has to be hit at least twice a turn in order to be damaged.
